Katerina Biniari is Professor and Head of the Laboratory of Viticulture, Department of Crop Science of the Agricultural University of Athens. She has more than 20 years of experience in teaching and research in Viticulture, supervising many Bsc, MSc students and PhD candidates.

She is involved in the use of ampelographic and molecular methods for the identification and discrimination of grapevine varieties and rootstock varieties, in the use of cultural methods and techniques in the vineyard, in grapevine physiology, in vitro culture, in grapevine propagation and in the study of the quality characters of the grapes.

She has participated in more than 20 national and European scientific projects and in many of which she has contributed as a scientific coordinator. She has published numerous scientific papers in prestigious international scientific journals and international conferences.

Maritina Stavrakaki is an Associate Professor in the Department of Crop Science of the Agricultural University of Athens. She holds a diploma (BSc) in Crop Science and Engineering, a MSc in Viticulture and Enology, and a PhD in Viticulture, all from the Agricultural University of Athens (AUA).

Her 15-year research experience includes the identification and discrimination of Greek grapevine varieties and their clones using ampelographic and molecular methods and tools, as well as the study of their quality characters. Her teaching experience includes teaching the courses of General and Advanced Viticulture at the Agricultural University of Athens and at the Department of Chemistry, National and Kapodistrian University of Athens for bachelor and master level students.

She has participated in many national and European scientific projects, and she is an author and co-author of more than 25 scientific papers and presentations in peer-reviewed journals, symposia and conferences

Ioannis Daskalakis is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Crop Science of the Agricultural University of Athens. He holds a diploma (BSc) in Crop Science and Engineering, a MSc in Viticulture and Enology, and is a PhD in Viticulture, all from the Agricultural University of Athens (AUA).

He is involved in the application of in vitro techniques for grapevine propagation under different conditions and hormone treatments, the quality evaluation of the grapes, physiology, and biochemistry of the vine (dormancy, bud break etc.).

He has participated in several national and European research projects during his 5-year research experience. He has published several scientific papers in international scientific journals and international conferences.

Despina Bouza is an Agricultural Scientist and Oenologist and holds a Master’s degree in Viticulture and Oenology from the Agricultural University of Athens. She is a member of the Laboratory Teaching Staff (EDIP) at the Viticulture Laboratory of the Department of Crop Science at the Agricultural University of Athens.

Her research work includes grapevine propagation, the study of grape quality characteristics, and the effects of fertilization under vineyard conditions, among other topics. In parallel, she participates in the teaching of laboratory exercises in General and Special Viticulture at undergraduate level, while she also has prior teaching experience in Technological Educational Institutes (TEI).

She has contributed to scientific publications in international journals and conferences and is also active as a judge in international wine and spirits competitions.

Professor Eleftherios Drosinos is a Professor at the Laboratory of Quality Control and Hygiene of Foods and Beverages, Department of Food Science and Human Nutrition, Agricultural University of Athens, in the field of “Food Quality Assurance and Hygiene Systems.” He graduated from the Higher School of Agriculture of Athens and holds a PhD from the University of Bath, United Kingdom.

His research focuses on the assurance and control of the microbiological quality and hygiene of foods, as well as the study of pathogenic and spoilage microorganisms in food and agricultural products. In parallel, he works on the development and implementation of HACCP systems, as well as quality management systems based on the ISO 9000 series.

His scholarly output includes a significant number of publications in international peer-reviewed journals, book chapters, and presentations at national and international scientific conferences.

Professor Petros Roussos is a Professor at the Laboratory of Pomology, Agricultural University of Athens. He has many years of experience in research and teaching in the field of Pomology.

His research focuses on the in vitro propagation of fruit tree species, with particular emphasis on olive (Olea europaea L.), as well as on the physiology, anatomy, and biochemistry of vegetative propagation. In parallel, he studies the response of fruit trees to abiotic stress factors and climate change, along with strategies for mitigating their effects.

He has served as a member of research and professional organizations in the field of agricultural science and has participated in research and experimental projects with applications in pomology and agricultural production. He has published scientific papers in international and Greek peer-reviewed journals and conferences and remains actively involved in academic and research activities in his field.
